The NTV Italo Offers a Thrill Ride Just like a Sports Car

There is a very good reason why Italy's brand-spanking-new NTV Italo has been unofficially nicknamed the 'Ferrari train.' It was designed by the president of Ferrari in collaboration with French rail company SNCF. Sleek and sporty, just like a Ferrari car, the NTV Italo is very fast, very expensive and very red -- everything that is expected from this celebrated car company.

The introduction of the NTV Italo hopes to encourage visitors and residents to ride the rail rather than the air when traveling within Italy. Seats are available as low as $60 and it can travel a distance of about 360 miles in and around two hours. Lighter, more efficient, quieter, safer and just shy of 100% recyclable, the NTV Italo will commence service at the end of this month.
