Ineffectual Flower Pots

The Non Vaso Suggests a False Function by Means of Negative Space

Almost universally, the Non Vaso suggests the recognizable form of the flower pot, yet this visual reference is made by the absence of such an item. Although it is a solid object, the MYYOUR piece is a rectangular prism with a planter-shaped void outlined in the middle.

Even though there is an opening in the Non Vaso, it does not function effectively as a container for soil or a place to set roots. If you intend on enhancing the sculpture with some greenery, the option is there to make use of a real flower pot and to place it either in the iconic gap or upon the flat surface on top. I'd be particularly curious to know how the Non Vaso is framing a full bushy plant in the second photo.
