The Nike Innovation Hunt is a Search for Cutting Edge Art in Tokyo

To generate some buzz around the launch of the Nike Lunar Glide+ 4 and the Nike Flyknit sneakers, Nike Japan is hosting the Nike Innovation Hunt. Folks are invited to grab a map and hunt down works of art scattered throughout Tokyo that are inspired by Nike's newest technology.

Nike has chosen some very futuristic and forward-thinking designs as its treasure to be found. I am assuming that all the pieces are usable, which makes the skateboard and sports ball even more intriguing. As a big fan of designer toys, my favorite is the neon knit teddy bear, which is a great mix of nostalgia and ironic-chic.

Working with artists and holding events that are open to the general public for free is a great way to build a healthy relationship with fans and generate hype around product releases. The Nike Innovation Hunt accomplishes this. Now I just have to wait for the hunt to be held a bit closer to my own home.
