Live Monochromatic Zombie Plays

Night of the Living Dead Live is a Play Like No Other

Chris Bond, the director and co-writer of Living Dead Live, is thrilled to introduce the fantastic live action play based upon the 1968 film Night of the Living Dead. By collaborating with the original director and a pioneer of zombie films, George A. Romero, the play stays true to the art of the original.

Not only does Night of the Living Dead Live pay homage to the 60s zombie flick, it adds unique genre and visual elements that make this play like no other. Instead of going with the horror genre, the team aimed to make it appropriate for viewers of all ages and interests. They also wanted to make the play relevant to audiences of today's generation. To accomplish these goals, they decided to make the play a comedy. Even zombie haters would be able to appreciate the quirky, comedic elements.

Another incredible feature of this play is that the set and character designs are done in grayscale. To pay tribute to the original film, the team thought using black and white paint would give fans of Night of the Living Dead a great sense of nostalgia and appreciation.

These goals will certainly be accomplished when the play hits the Theatre Passe Muraille in Toronto on October 8th.
