$18,000 Electric Vehicles

Nice MyCar

Nice is debuting its new plug-in electric city car, the MyCar, at the British Motor Show in London on July 23. The two-seater, eco-fun car with zero emissions be available in the U.K. this fall, with prices starting from $18,000.

MyCar is made in Hong Kong and designed by Giugiaro of Italdesign. It has a top speed of 40 mph (64 km/h) and a driving range re-charge time ranging from 6 to 8 hours.

Nice claims that MyCar has very low running costs. So low, in fact, that they account to about one fifteenth of the running cost of a conventional petrol or diesel model.

The zero CO2 emissions is a big selling point as it will allow people to avoid the costly UK road tax and no congestion charges.
