'Newman House' Combines Itself with Its Natural Surroundings

Newman House's plot is marked by a beautiful natural garden area, and Nicolas Pinto da Mota and Victoria Maria Falcon, the two architects behind the home, aimed to make as much use of it as possible. The team combined Newman House's design and the natural surroundings through the use of pattern, making the interior and the exterior as much of a seamless transition as possible.

Buenos Aires is a populous urban area, but it's also in a lovely climate. In designing Newman House, the architects thus wanted to push that natural aspect. The home is covered primarily with white tiling, which leaves the eye to be drawn to the nature around it. It also has an interesting, striated lawn pattern that aims to gradually bring people from the outside to the inside rather than abruptly crossing a threshold.
