The New Vault City Marvellous Liquids Range Has Four Expressions

The new Vault City Marvellous Liquids range has been debuted by the brand as a series of limited time offerings that are inspired by the classic book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to catch the attention of kids-at-heart.

The beers come in four varieties that each boast an unexpectedly whimsical taste and branding as a nod to the unorthodox world of Willy Wonka himself. The range features the Splendiferous Slime, Face Froster, Numbing Nectar and Brainmelting Fluid, which are each inspired by candy store flavor experiences. The stand-out product in the range is the Splendiferous Slime, which has an ultra-sour taste with a slime-like texture to truly set it apart from the competition.

Co-Founder Steven Smith-Hay commented on the new Vault City Marvellous Liquids range saying, "We wanted to take everything people loved about Marvellous Liquids and turn it up. More texture, more intensity and more of those unexpected sensory moments. This range is exactly what Vault City is all about. Pushing boundaries and having fun with flavour, whether that’s something slime-thick, face-scrunchingly sour or completely unexpected on the palate."

Trend Themes

  1. Nostalgia-driven Adult Products — Products that evoke childhood memories through references to classic stories create space for novel premium offerings that blend familiarity with adult tastes.
  2. Texture-focused Beverages — Unconventional mouthfeel elements like slime-thick or fizzy-creamy textures are redefining sensory expectations in drinks and opening paths to radically different product experiences.
  3. Crossover Confectionery-flavored Alcohol — Alcoholic beverages infused with candy and dessert flavor profiles are blurring category lines and enabling entirely new hybrids between spirits, beer and sweets.

Industry Implications

  1. Craft Brewing — Small-batch breweries experimenting with intense flavors and novel textures can disrupt mainstream beer by attracting consumers seeking theatrical and experiential drinking occasions.
  2. Confectionery and Snacks — Snack makers extending into alcohol-adjacent flavors could redefine product portfolios through cross-category taste innovations that challenge traditional consumption contexts.
  3. Brand Licensing and Collaborations — Licensing beloved literary or nostalgic IP for adult-targeted products presents opportunities to transform brand partnerships into high-margin, experience-driven lines.
