Tracking Driving Habits

Davis CarChip Pro is Your Car's Little Black Box

One of the hot products at CES this year was the Davis CarChip Pro. The CarChip is a small device that collects and stores driving-related data about your vehicle. The device is small (about the size of a key fob) that acts much like the "little black box" on airplanes.

The device stores up to 300 hours of trip data that includes date, time, speed and distance, and extreme accelerating and braking details illustrated with reports and graphs.

The CarChip Pro installs easily; simply plug it in, drive, and then download the information.

The CarChip Pro retails at about $120.00 and comes in a personal-use or business model.
