City-Celebrating Comic Displays

This New Apple Store is Decorated in Original Belgian Comics

There's a new Apple Store in Brussels, Belgium, and to announce its launch, Apple asked the city's comic book artists to create original works of art celebrating the city of Brussels.

Belgium is home to some of the world's most renowned comic book artists -- Herge, author of Tintin, was born and lived in Brussels. The Smurfs, everyone's favorite tiny blue creatures, are as Belgian as chocolate and tulips. So it was only right that when Apple decided to open its new Apple Store in Brussels, it asked 20 comic book artists to show the world what's special about the city.

Each of the 20 artists illustrated one of their favorite spots in the city of Brussels in their own unique style. The final products were then displayed on a mural outside the new Apple Store's planned location.
