Nescafé Gold Ice Cream Uses Real Coffee in the Coating & Core

Nescafé Gold ice cream is a first-of-its-kind product that features real coffee in both the coating and the core portion of the product in place of coffee flavors. Notably, the decadent coating or ganache that enrobes the Nescafé Gold Cappuccino Ice Cream is made using Nestlé’s patented soft coating technology, and it differentiates itself from stick ice creams with hard coatings. Guglielmo Bonora, head of Nestlé R&D Singapore, said that by "leveraging this soft coating technology, our teams met the challenge of finding the perfect balance between "coffee-ness," milkiness and sweetness, to bring the Nescafé Gold Cappuccino experience to life."

Since the soft ganache coating is made to melt at the same rate as the ice cream core, people can enjoy the sweetness of the coating and the center simultaneously.
