Multi-Building Neighborhoods Designs

This Traditional Town Will Add Five Additional Buildings

After a lengthy competition, a firm and neighborhood design has been chosen to transform a portion of Tulon, France. The southern French city will revitalize an area that once housed a hospital by erecting five new buildings. The modern design will see school buildings, offices and libraries built simultaneously to create one unified complex. Most of the plans show extremely contemporary building designs, typically all white with clean lines.

The plan also includes a restructuring of the city's 'Jardin Alexandre 1er' which will be extended and given more garden space. The northern corner of the site house the TPM School of Art and Design, which will form the emblematic building of the neighborhood. Construction is planned to start in 2016 and be completed by 2019.
