The N12 3D-Printed Bikini is a Ready-to-Wear Marvel

If you're wondering what clothes made by a computer would look like, you're staring at it with this N12 3D-Printed Bikini. Made by the futuristic apparel company Continuum, this is "the world's first ready-to-wear, completely 3D-printed article of clothing."

But what does that mean exactly? Well, the new-age swimsuit is made out of a nylon material called N12 and the design of the two-piece has been fed through a computer. This is where the SLS 3D printing process then takes over and cuts the nylon to specifications. The N12 3D-Printed Bikini is made up of tiny disks of various shapes and sizes and is held together by little springs. Sounds pretty awesome to me.

Now all Continuum has to do is release some male apparel that uses this 3D-printing process and I'm totally there.
