Mushroom-Constructed Room Designs

Côme Di Meglio and La Succulente Design the Mush Room

Belgian design studio WeWantMore works together with both La Succelente and French artist Côme Di Meglio on the new Mush Room. It is as the name suggests -- an installation that provides an infinite amount of inspiration as the mycelium bar is inspired by the shapes and textures on shells.

Usually, fungi are often seen growing out of the decomposing materials. The experimental installation actually grows the mushrooms and will only be available to visit temporarily. Visually, the mushrooms are under a spotlight and are seen stemming right out of the middle of a collection of fungi. The dynamic structure that surrounds it has rounded edges and exudes the metaphor that represents the possibilities that are stagnant when we dismiss traditional ways of thinking.
