Detroit's 'Murals in the Market' Cultivate the City's Local Culture

Detroit's 'Murals in the Market' is a festival that tried to change the perception of its city through street art. The unique industrial area of the Eastern Market District has recently been transformed by young, vibrant up-and-coming businesses and entrepreneurs which has provided the perfect setting for a street art festival.

Murals in the Market attracted 45 local and internationally renowned street artists to help paint a brighter picture of the Motor City.
