Built-In Fan Waterproof Jackets

uniform experiement and BURTLE Drop a New Mountain Parka

Japanese fashion labels uniform experiment and BURTLE work in collaboration to design a new iteration of the mountain parka that boasts built-in fans. It takes the classic zippered outerwear and reworks it to meet new design standards, retaining elements including the waterproof sensibilities.

The most notable features are the two fans informed within the jacket powered by batteries. These fans can also be removed from the wearable and the purpose of it is to increase better air circulation throughout the body. This blends together both style and function -- in terms of the exterior design, it boasts graphics on the front and the back. There is also reflective typography that reads "FRGMNT" as a nod to designer Hiroshi Fujiwara.
