Miniature Monster Truck Rallies

Demolition Derby Tilt-Shift

I’m amazed at how tilt-shift photography makes large things look miniature, and Keith Loutit has adapted this technique into video form to capture, of all things, a monster truck rally and demolition derby.

Watching the rally in miniature, I can see the appeal of a monster truck rally and demolition derby; however, it looks far better in miniature. Little men shooting out tee shirts at crazed fans, a giant fire-breathing Godzilla--in actual size, these images aren’t nearly as impressive as they are in miniature.
