Mona by Lucie Koldova is a Cartoonish Pendant Lamp

Mona by Lucie Koldova, an industrial designer born in the Czech Republic and based in Paris, France, may have a feminine name, but it looks masculine. This is due in large part to its resemblance to a helmet. With its rounded top and straight bottom as well as a visor-like strip of paint, this correlation is undeniable.

Created for manufacturer Brokis, Mona by Lucie Koldova, who is an artistic director at the company, is available in two versions: ceiling and floor. Although the floor design is adorably morbid since it looks as though the stand has pierced through the helmet (and possibly disembodied head inside), the pendant model is particularly intriguing. It is hung from straps in a unique way. Overall, Mona by Lucie Koldova has a cartoonish appeal that is endearing.
