Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has partnered up with Zodiac Aerospace to introduce a brand new line of hyper-luxury aircraft cabins that make use of a modular design in order to transform cargo bays into exceptionally comfortable cabins designed for red-eye flights.
While Airbus has previously been involved in developing new cabins for its A380 aircraft, these new offerings are designed to be introduced in the Airbus A330 and Airbus A350 XWB aircraft. The modules are designed to be easily installed into surplus cargo areas, and can be dismantled without getting in the way of regular loading and unloading operations. They are set to include a number of amenities including conference rooms, lounges, medical bays and children's nurseries.
While still in concept mode, these aircraft cabins are set to improve air travel by taking advantage of wasted cargo space to enable airlines to make extra revenue from high-paying passengers.
