Modern Woodland Homes

This Modern Home Rests in the Middle of an Idyllic Setting

This modern woodland home was designed in a collaboration between architects from the firm YH2 and sculptor Jacek Jarnuszkiewicz.

Based in East Bolton in Quebec, Canada, the home was designed for the sculptor himself. It features a unique juxtaposition between modern design and nature, as the environment the house is placed in is almost completely untouched. The home is not too large in size and features an upper deck that does not have a rail and functions as a roof for the lower parts of the house. This deck was described as a "wildlife observation tower" that provides excellent views of the nature the home is surrounded by.

This modern woodland home offers an excellent example of the possibilities created when integrating contemporary designs into natural environments.
