With NASA, Mission PGTide Tests Tide Products on the ISS

In 2022, a cargo launch to the ISS will introduce Mission PGTide, where teams will test laundry products in space. P&G and NASA are partnering to explore solutions for efficiently cleaning astronauts' clothing in challenging environments where resources are limited, and this initiative has the potential to support the future of space travel as well as cleaning innovations here on earth.

As it stands, astronauts aboard the International Space Station wear articles of clothing several times before replacing them a new set, and this poses a challenge for deep space missions, since clothing comes via resupply shipment opportunities. It's estimated that, without a laundry solution, "160 pounds of clothing per crew member per year are launched to ISS."

In addition to looking at cleaning ingredients under microgravity conditions, teams will be testing Tide To Go Wipes and Tide To Go Pens.
