Ron Binkmann's Mirrorbox Series is Positively Psychedelic

Ron Binkmann's 'MirrorBox' series looks, upon first glance, like a complex digital manipulation. However, each image is taken from the inside of a cube Binkmann constructed using mirrored tiles and duct tape. He places objects (such as candles or action figures) inside the box, along with this timed camera, in order to capture their endless reflections without human disruption.

Photos taken within the mirror box produce an exhilarating, kaleidoscopic effect that will blow your mind. The symmetrical lines, angles and geometric shapes created within appear to be almost infinite.

The wonderful thing about Binkmann's series is the fact that it's so simple to recreate. If you have the time and inclination, you too could create a mirror box and experiment with the seemingly endless reflections it produces.
