MINI Cooper London Olympics Edition Celebrates the Games Across the Pond

BMW recently started production on the limited MINI Cooper London Olympics edition. Everyones favorite petite auto is being revamped in anticipation for the world's largest sporting event taking place in London next summer. Mini Coopers are already known for their versatility. In the last couple of years the automotive industry has seen various incarnations of this beloved compact. Just recently BMW celebrated a successful run of the British Royal wedding edition MINI, and before that there was the Macro Mehn Swarovski MINI.

The patriotic edition of this famous car will come in three colors: chili red, white silver and lightening blue. Keeping with this limey theme, a Union jack stripe will run the length of the car along the left hand side from bonnet to tail. The seat headrests will bear a similar emblem. The alloy wheels, signature white to ceilings and leather seats will carry the 2012 London Olympics logo.

Although production has started, the MINI Cooper London Olympics edition will not be ready for delivery until the first half of 2012. So, keep a stiff upper lip and remember good things come to those who wait.
