The Mille-Feuille by Emmanuelle Moureaux is Colorfully Abstract

Unevenly stacked and strikingly colorful, Mille-Feuille by Emmanuelle Moureaux Architecture + Design, a firm based in Tokyo, Japan, is a series of cabinets that look more like works of art than pieces of furniture. It is not surprising that this is the case since they happen to resemble the Japanese designer's previous work, the Shimura Branch building, but on a much smaller scale.

Created in collaboration with German furniture company Schonbuch, Mille-Feuille by Emmanuelle Moureaux Architecture + Design reflects the designer's love of color. Made out of lacquered MDF, the cabinets are available in three sizes: one with 21 layers, another with 12 and the last with eight. They each boast hidden drawers.
