Miir Lets You Customize Your H20 While Supporting Clean Water Projects

Social Business has profiled a variety of social enterprises that help provide clean water, but Miir.com has taken an innovative approach we haven't seen before.

Miir offers customizable stainless water bottles with a promise to deliver clean drinking water to people in need through their one4one model. Customers can choose from different lid styles, colours and even graphic prints. At the same time, they're protecting the environment by reusing their bottles, and support a social cause.

"One dollar of each MiiR bottle purchased provides one person with clean water for an entire year," the website explains. "The full $1 donation, all 100 pennies, go directly to those in need." They also offer t-shirts and hoodies that help provide one person with water for a year.

Miir was founded by Bryan Pape in 2009 who says, on his personal website, "I CEO it up at MiiR, dabble with Givedot, invest in awesome companies and people and love life in all capacities, including husband and adventurer."

The Mirr team, which is based in Seattle, is also active on social media, including on Facebook where they have over 26,000 fans and Pinterest. Check out all their social profiles below.
