Microsonic Music Landscapes are physical representations of records that are created with 3D printing technology. Created by Mexico-based research and experimentation studio Realitat, the music landscapes are an interesting way to pay respect to your favorite musical albums.
Realitat chose five contrasting albums as its subjects. The albums range in musical styling from classical piano to industrial German. The greatly differing musical albums translate into greatly differing Microsonic Music Landscapes. All the album models look like geographic landscapes, but they do vary in type from cityscapes to mountain ranges to craters. One can only wonder what their own favorite album would look like when put through the system.
All of the Microsonic Music Landscapes were printed using Makerbot, a printer that can print anything into a 3D plastic form.
