The Microsoft logo update is scheduled to coincide with the release of a multitude of new products. The tech giant hasn't changed its logo design for 25 years, so it seems that it is about time for a change. This update sees the company making a more simplified and iconic logo that follows in the footsteps of companies like Starbucks, which also recently changed its logo.
The Microsoft logo update features a new font style and the recognizable four square window logo. The logo has been changed to be a straight edged set of four squares instead of the previous wavy version. The symbol is meant to convey the diverse range of products that Microsoft offers its customers.
Along with the new logo Microsoft will be releasing Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, updated Xbox services and the next version of Microsoft Office.
