The Incredible Michelin carDboard Concept Car is Made Paper and Plastic

When you think of what an eco-friendly car is, electric vehicle technology and low emissions likely come to mind. Now, the Michelin carDboard coupe redefines this category of environmentally conscious automobiles with a design that comprises recycled materials.

The chassis and the body of the conveyance are made up entirely of second-life paper products and plastic. Both contribute to a fairly sturdy frame that is wonderfully lightweight and consequently quite efficient. Powering the Michelin carDboard car is a tri-hybrid system that employs compressed air, gas and an electric engine. With these mechanisms working together, the concept car can reach speeds up to 70 miles per hour. This project was a compelling and innovative entry into the Michelin Design Challenge.
