This Project Aims to Set Off Artificial Shooting Stars

A Japanese space startup by the name of ALE Co is readying to make history by putting on artificial meteor shower displays which will be designed to both wow and amaze onlookers by their stunning visual appeal whilst also being of use to scientists interested in studying earthly and interstellar atmospheres.

ALE Co's 'Sky Canvas' project, which is tasked with putting on the artificial shooting stars, is going to go about the task by making use of centimeter-wide bits of material sourced from satellites. Sky Canvas is set to have the capability to organize this stunning displays anywhere on the planet, offering visibility of some 100 km in either direction.

These artificial meteor shower displays are said to have the capability of assisting scientists involved in the study of the mesosphere, which is the layer of Earth's atmosphere where the artificial meteors will burn up. What's more, the particles are claimed to be too small to reach the Earth, and will be dropped high up enough that they won't endanger aircraft.
