Metal Furniture

The Membrane Chaise Lounge Looks Ice Cold But So Cool

Although we have previously brought you anti-social furniture and furniture of all weird and wonderful kinds, metal seems a strange material to use to create a chaise lounge. Having said that, the metal used for this "Membrane" piece by Korban/Flaubert seems to work in its own peculiar way.

The collaborators, one a metal specialist, the other an architect from Stuttgart, now based in Australia, specialize in furniture, lighting and architectural installations in both metal and plastic.

Their design aesthetic is dictated by experimental manipulation of materials and the resulting forms dictate the nature of their final products.
