The Mercury Concept Bike is Designed for Use on Land and Sea

Not many motorcycles are designed to be used in water, but don't tell that to Dennis Yu and his Mercury concept bike. Yu created his bike for the clothing brand Quicksilver. The brief was to design a bike for the year 2027 that was representative of the brand. Since Quicksilver dabbles heavily in surfing apparel, making the Mercury concept bike amphibious just made sense.

The Mercury concept bike cuts a striking figure with its silver and black frame complete with red accents. The amphibious part of the bike comes from the rear where a propeller has been placed to provide underwater propulsion. The designer has also thought of environmental concerns and has equipped the bike with a "liquid air engine" that would convert air into a liquid and use it to provide power.
