Fierce Futuristic Compact Cars (UPDATE)

The Mercedes-Benz Concept A Makes Its Debut

The recently announced Mercedes-Benz Concept A made its debut at the 2011 New York Motor Show this week. Mercedes-Benz debuted the concept art for the car at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show but decided to keep the goods under wraps for a stateside debut.

Simply put, the Mercedes-Benz Concept A is stunning. The silver arrow has designed an aggressively luxurious compact car that could be a hit with people who love the brand's luxury but are scared off by its tuna boat-sized sedans. Under the hood, the Concept A has a turbocharged direct-injected, 4-cylinder 2.0L BlueEFFICENCY engine kicking out 210 horsepower. Despite its name, the car is headed for production and should be on lots sometime in the (hopefully) near future.
