This Memory Foam Fashion by Nadine Goepfert Changes Form Over Time

Nadine Goepfert's memory foam fashion jacket is part of her 2013 series entitled 'The Garments May Vary.' The collection embodies the concept of capturing an object that is continually changing in a still moment in time. With ordinary usage, Goepfert's coat will adapt different shapes because it is made of memory foam.

This gorgeous wearable sculpture takes the form of a voluminous puffy pink jacket. Each time the wearer puts it on or moves, the memory foam will be slightly different, creating new patterns, textures and ripples in the design. Unlike a traditional static garment, this is a beautiful gesture that brings the garment to life; it is as if it a living entity with a mind of its own capable of "remembering" the wearer's movements.
