Faithfully Redesigned Retro Consoles

The Mega Sg Plays the Classic Cartridges of it Predecessor

Analogue, the retro console makers responsible for the Nt Mini and Super Nt, is now venturing into its first non-Nintendo revival known as the Mega Sg. Designed to be a recreation of the Sega Genesis, Mega Drive, and Master System, the console is capable of playing over 2,180 classic cartridges. All of this comes with modern additions, including HDMI capability and upscaling to 1080p.

Unlike other retro console offerings, the Mega Sg doesn't use any emulation methods. Instead, the console opts for an Altera Syclone V FPGA chip to ensure compatibility with classic cartridges. This method places a greater emphasis on the retro concept of the Mega Sg, which is further expressed in the inclusion of the console's classic Yamaha YM2612 sound chip.
