This collection of medical inspired shoes is the work of Gwendolyn Huskens, a student at the Design Academy in Eindhoven.
The six pairs of shoes in this ‘medic esthetic’ collection are all made from medical supplies such as plaster bandages and band-aids, and were created as a comment on the taboos associated with physical deformities.
It’s a shame medical supplies are manufactured in neutral tones. Perhaps these shoes would be more appealing if a splash of color had been added?
