The Mechanical Theatre Animals in the Barbican Theatre Londons production of 'Savanna: A Possible Landscape' are frightfully realistic. As part of Amit Droris staging of the popular show The Barbican recruited Israeli designer Noam Dover to bring the animals in the story to life. His creations are sure to be a hit with anyone who is a fan of attending the theatre and marks an advancement in stage production technologies.
Some of the animals, which include elephants, herons with amazingly detailed wings and glowing snails on wheels, are made to look like puppets with strings still attached to them, despite their robotic machinations. The animals in the production also have a distinctive child-like quality as they are supposed to come from the childhood imagination of the main actor in the play.
