Aluminum Forked Seating

The Maybe Chair by Andrea Borgogni is Simple and Industrial

The Maybe Chair might be slightly uncertain about its identity, if the name is any indicator, but there is really no mistaking its purpose in life. It is simply made out of an odd pairing of materials that might give a person pause at first. The wooden backrest and seat of the Maybe Chair, which is reminiscent of vintage school chairs, have been secured to a die-cast aluminium frame.

Designed by Italian designer Andrea Borgogni, the Maybe Chair is at once basic and industrial when it comes to looks. According to the designer, "The main structure is split in two part of aluminium die-cast, so it’s easy to storage after production and it can be shipped in a very small box," thus making it practical in use.
