Pipe fittings are something that requires quite a bit of money to make, and they also must be an exact size to work, but Maya Ben David has come up with a solution to make this process just that little bit easier. The designer has used a 3D printer to make a collection called 'Bypass,' which could change the way people think about these household products.
The pieces were originally put together for an exhibition in Tel Aviv, but the items have a much more practical purpose than simply sitting on display. Existing fittings that are available are quite limiting since they have to be an exact shape in terms of curvature and angles, but these 3D-printed alternatives are both easy to make, and can be used on a number of pipes.
