Japanese Art Matchboxes

This Collection of Matchboxes Was Designed to Promote Candles

This collection of matchboxes was designed by the creative agency 'Objectify' in a collaboration with the candle brand 'Keap.'

The matchboxes are all inspired by Japanese art and on their side, feature the Japanese proverb "It is useful to first see the spark before the fire." The proverb is broken up across the matchboxes which encourages users to purchase them all and makes for a cohesive design. The artistic boxes feature images based in nature, including springs, ferns, an ocean and a leaf – with the one diversion from this pattern being an illustration of cities.

By offering collectible matchboxes with its candles, the brand Keap proves itself to be focused on expanding its reach through design.
