Gilded Artisan Chocolate Packaging

Marou Creates Bean-to-Bar Products Wrapped in Handmade Paper

Marou is the first single origin bean-to-bar chocolate produced in Vietnam. The company focuses on working directly with local cacao farms to produce a premium product with a conscious. Hoping to sell the company's unique business model along with its rich chocolate, Marou enlisted the artistic flair of Rice Creative to craft a strong image for the bold brand.

The result of the collaboration is a packaging design that is the perfect combination of modern and traditional aesthetics. Wrapped in handmade gilded paper created by local artisan printers, these glossy bars of chocolates look like auspicious gifts begging to be unwrapped. The different flavors of chocolate, which are determined by the geographical location of the cocoa beans used, are differentiated through a color coding system. The colors themselves are based on the variety of shades a Trinitario cocoa pod comes in.

Beautiful, intricate and vibrant, this gorgeous packaging design upholds the ideals and style of the artisan chocolate company Marou.
