Map of Constellations Dedicates Glowing Images to Famous Discoveries

Astronomy and space enthusiasts will appreciate the effort that went into Scott Benson's glow-in-the-dark map of constellations.

Designed by the Pittsburgh animator and illustrator, the glow-in-the-dark map of constellations depicts various significant astronomers, spacecrafts and mythological characters that affect how people view and study space today. Benson tactfully designs the poster to be visible in daylight as well as nighttime, illustrating two different and distinct sets of images on the page, one only visible by day and the other only by night.

The map, which glows in green and blue, is a great reminder of how far the world and technology has come, moving from mistaken conventional perceptions of the world being flat to marking monumental developments such as space travel without forgetting the importance of Classical literature's influence on the shapes of the stars.
