Designer David Minich created a website where customers can design their own eyeglasses by choosing from a wide variety of frames, styles and colors.
When customers visit the website they have the option to select pre-designed frames, or create a new pair themselves with the help of a trained designer. Then, each buyer chooses a color and a size. Once finished selecting their customizable eyewear, customers then give the order to be printed on demand and voila, their product is ready! After being printed in 3-D, the glasses are then made durable and water-resistant. Finally, the customer has their pair of specs delivered within the next few weeks.
Minich believes that his project will definitely attract more costumers once people realized all the advantages of Make Eyewear. Although there is no refund policy at the moment, the company is considering different electronic alternatives to help clients have a better idea of their designs.
