Magnetic Dropper Packaging

Virospack's Design Favors a Magnetic Closure Over a Screw-Top Cap

Across the cosmetic industry, screw-top dropper bottles are a standard, but Virospack is out to change this with its new and customizable magnetic closure.

The packaging concept developed by the Barcelona-based team introduces the market's first magnetic closure with a strong sealing system. As Virospack describes: "the two parts of the dropper feature a magnet with four poles that produce an attraction to each other in order to achieve the closing of the dropper to the vial."

In the design, the bottle neck cover doubles as a wiper for the pipette. These designs can be customized to suit different styles, including square, cylindrical shapes, depending on a brand's preference. While these kinds of magnetic closure systems are commonly found in makeup product packaging, they have yet to be applied to the world of skincare.
