Launched in 2006 by Jeremy Leslie, magCulture is an editorial subscription service that recently opened up its first brick-and-mortar location in London. The intriguing move forward by magCulture reflects similar moves by e-commerce brands Casper, Warby Parker and BirchBox. Located within a 1960s high-rise in London's Clerkenwell neighborhood, the first physical magCulture shop and reflects the quirky vibe of the brand's online presence.
The magCulture boutique appears like a regular newsstand from faraway, but up close, one will notice that its interior is sophisticated and feels more like a Berlin art bookstore than anything else. The stylish interior features black shelves lined with high-quality magazines and only magazines, in addition to a handful of books on editorial design.
