Macintosh Computer Celebrates 30 Years of Innovation

The Macintosh computer 30 years ago was presented by Steve Jobs in Cupertino, California at a shareholders meeting.

The first Macintosh featured point and click menus without the need to type in commands and introduced drag and drop that is used on PCs, phones and tablets today. Among many other brilliant features, the Mac has changed the expectations of computers to come-setting the bar quite high for the competition- but Mac has also inspired change for its users. Mac gives users the ability to be more creative with their work and passion and because of its user-friendly interface, even the most complicated tasks are possible. To honour Apple’s 30th anniversary, it has released a short video featuring artists, innovators and the like, telling their story of how Mac has changed and enhanced their lives. Apple also wants to hear stories from the everyday user, and has launched a new page on its website with the simple question, Tell us about your first Mac.

Apple products and Mac have come a long way from three decades ago, yet it continues to change our lives and has become an iconic figure in inspiring us to always strive to achieve more.
