Photoshopped Computer Parodies

The New Mac Pro Tower is Inspiring Spoofs on its Design

The sleek new design of Apple’s Mac Pro tower was announced earlier this week at Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference. The highly-anticipated announcement revealed a design with a shocking departure from Apple’s previous rectangular aluminum-bodied models, inspiring Internet memes that make fun of the computer’s new form.

The teaser images released of the new Mac Pro are dark and a little ominous, leading artists like Hilmar Stehr to make spoofs that liken it to Darth Vader’s shiny black helmet. As well, people have compared the new form to a Japanese rice cooker or fondue pot. The indented space on the top of the Mac Pro tower leaves the perfect place for people to Photoshop in images of cigarette butts, crumpled up paper, ice cream and other ridiculous things like seal heads.
