Fluid Skeletal-Inspired Chairs

Ma Yansong's 'Gu' is a Modern Interpenetration of the Rocking Chair

After drawing inspiration from skeletal structures and other anatomy-related designs, Ma Yansong completed a rendering of 'Gu' -- a contemporary interpenetration of the modern rocking chair.

Perfect for complementing the interior of any contemporary home, this unique chair was designed to appear as a living organism. 'Gu,' which directly translates to 'Bones' features both rigid and fluid curves which create the appearance that the chair was once moving, but is now frozen in time. Arriving in colorways of red, white and more, this gorgeous chair is sure to accentuate the interior of any modern home, whether its situated in a living room or one's kitchen table.

Each piece has been carved from wood.
