SAGA, the Danish architecture studio behind the project, ensured that the design structure is easily transportable and has a zero-waste ecosystem. The architects took the tent on a test run in Greenland to ensure its warmth and stability. Its form was inspired by the patterns of a budding leaf and the precision of origami folding. It unfolds from a tight bud into a large oval shape made from a rigid carbon fiber shell. The LUNARK exterior sandwiches panels with a foam core to create extra insulation while maintaining a light weight.
