The LUNARIS chopsticks reimagine everyday dining utensils by introducing a soft internal glow that activates in low light. Instead of relying on electronics, batteries, or external power, the design uses photoluminescent material embedded within a transparent resin upper section. During the day, the chopsticks appear minimal and sculptural, but once the environment darkens, faint light begins to emerge from within the form, creating a subtle luminous effect at the table.
Designed by Ivana Nedeljkovska, the concept combines stainless steel with a resin body that houses curved light-reactive channels. The material absorbs ambient light and slowly releases it in dim conditions, producing a gradual glow rather than an instant illumination. The effect is intentionally restrained, so the utensil is transformed into an atmospheric object that responds to its environment while remaining fully functional for dining.
