Photographer Lorena Turner Captures Michael Jackson Look-a-Likes

This year will mark the fifth anniversary of Michael Jackson's death and Lorena Turner has found an interesting way to pay tribute to the late King of Pop. Lorena Turner has put together a series of impersonator portraits. Although the Los Angeles- and New York City-based photographer observes, "It became clear to me that these people weren’t so much honoring Michael Jackson as much as they were creating a hybrid identity through their representation of him."

Recently published in a book aptly titled, 'The Michael Jacksons,' Lorena Turner's work shows how much this icon meant not only to the world of music, but also to a world struggling with the issue of race. The impersonators she captures portray almost every Jackson iteration, pre-plastic surgery and post. Some even combine the two.
