A monochromatic loft extension designed by Emil Eve Architects in east London boasts a pink and tranquil bedroom extension. The clients wanted this bedroom to feel like a sanctuary and escape from the chaos of work and family life found throughout the rest of the house.
The loft is located in a conservation area which required the designers to build the extension with minimal visual impact from the outdoors. The architects replaced the original butterfly roof with a mansard roof that sits unobtrusively on the house's exterior.
The room features built-in wardrobes and a window seat which optimizes the living space. The room's entirety is painted with Little Greene's 'China Clay Mid' pale pink paint color - producing a serene and prominently pink space.
